Maddie has had nothing short of fun this past week. Not only did we get to enjoy our first week without doctor appointments, but we also got to see our friends from Florida a couple of more times. On Thursday, we spent the morning at Domino's Petting Farm and I am so proud of my little girl who finally, after a little warm up time and watching her buddy Grant, fed the animals carrot sticks without freaking out!! Not only did they enjoy petting and feeding the animals, but they also got to go on a little hay ride around the farm.
We started the weekend off with bagels, donuts, and friends. Sarah, Grant, and Max came over for a morning playdate. After that we spent the rest of the day just hanging out at home doing pretty much nothing at all.
There was a small carnival going on to support the local Jaycee's this weekend and I made the mistake of talking about it in front of Miss Maddie. Well, once she hears about something like that she is relentless! She kept asking when we were going to the carnival so despite the heat, we gave into her demands and took her for some games and rides on Sunday. This is probably another one of those "Shhh...don't tell the doctor!" moments, but oh well, she rode every ride she could and had a blast doing so! (FYI...no distractions were hurt in the process).
