We had said at the beginning of the month that we were going to make April the 'Month of FUN' for Maddie, but the weather has made this quite hard. I feel like it's either been too cold or too rainy to get out and do much of anything. I'm a little concerned with how much we will be able to get out and play after Maddie's surgery so I want to take full advantage of any outdoor time we get these next couple of weeks. So finally, this weekend we had absolutely gorgeous weather! Saturday we got up and met our friends at the Detroit Zoo. It was so nice just to be outside and to have the sun beating down on us. Unfortunately, one of us (and I'm not going to mention any names) forgot that he had a bald white head and ended up with quite a bad sunburn! All I can say is, lesson learned!

After the zoo, we came home and relaxed a little and then decorated Easter eggs!
Sunday, Maddie woke up and was so surprised to find that the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our house! She got all sorts of goodies in her Easter basket; Pinocchio Movie, a couple of rooms for her dollhouse, a new outfit complete with sunglasses, and just a little bit of candy. She had so much fun hunting for eggs around the house, and thought it was so funny that the bunny left an egg in the fridge! We ended the day with an outing to the park...a perfect ending to a perfect weekend!
